What a Week!

Last Saturday started our adventure of a week.  Daddy was all set to head out to Madison to help Grandma Polly with a few projects around her house...and this was also the morning that Alex woke up with the stomach flu.  So many of the fun activities that I had planned to keep her occupied while daddy was away...did not happen.  We instead spent much of our time snuggling watching movies, reading stories, and just trying to be calm.  As well as cleaning bathrooms, carpets, and doing laundry.   Once we hit day 5, we did take a trip to the doctor, who as expected, told us that she looked good and that it was likely a virus that we just needed to wait it out.  By Thursday, we seemed to have made it through the worst of it, so off went on a few adventures.

Daddy got home Tuesday afternoon and he had taken the rest of the week off work to stay home and play with us.  Alex LOVED having her daddy home, so much that she has barely let him out of her sight since he got home Tuesday night.

On Friday we took Alex to Boondocks Fun Center, where she was tall enough to be a passenger on the Bumper Boats.  She thought this was the BEST THING TO DO EVER!!!
Daddy got this one while they were on the boat together.
Getting into the boat...she is ready to go!
Here we go Daddy!!
This is where the water squirts out...see daddy

Oh, that was fun Daddy!!
She also had fun "playing" video games with Daddy.

And had fun in the kids play area.

We also took a trip to check out the new Ikea here in Denver...and got Alex a brand new, big girl (read twin size) bed.  Pictures to come once we get her room back in order.

Today I got these cute pictures of Alex and her daddy.
