Disney on Ice

I have always loved ice skating.  We use to go every year for a girls night out (my mom, my sister, and I) to a skating show.  And then my mother-in-law helped me continue this tradition, but since Steve would come too it was not exactly a "girls night"!  And today we took Alex to her first ice show...Disney on Ice!  She was so excited to see the all her favorite princesses.  Though she did ask who Pocahontas was...I just said she was another princess...that is a lesson for another day (and one Disney movie she is unlikely to see).  But this is not time for that debate!

She was super excited to see Mickey Mouse, Minnie, and all their friends.  She loved the opening number with Aladin and Genie.  The first half was full of her favorites including Beauty and Beast, Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, and Ariel.  And a great "It's a Small World" performance that she enjoyed and brought back some wonderful memories for mommy.  She could hardly stay in her seat!  The second half was a bit slower with Pinocchio and the Incredible's (both of which she has not seen yet) but when the Lion King came out, she was super excited.  The finale included all the stars on the ice, and the little girls were able to go down rink side to get a close up look.  And even a few high fives!  I think this was really her favorite part.

She had a really great time, she carried around the Cinderella doll she picked out as her special present all day, including taking her to bed with her and cow (yep, we don't go to bed without cow!!).  All in all it was a great day, we all had a super time, and I am so glad we got such awesome seats...3 rows from the ice!  It was such an amazing day for daddy and mommy to share with her.

 Enjoying the popcorn!!
