Dear Santa...

Alex is really getting into the spirit of Christmas this year. She is excited about Santa, she talks about Santa and his reindeer quite a bit.  And has taken to singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town".  I will have to try to get some video soon, as it is really quite adorable!

A few years ago, Steve, his mom, and I braved Black Friday (when stores opened early at 5am!) and went to Shopko (like a K-Mart for you non-mid-westerners).  They were handing out toy figures from Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer cartoon.  Steve found them this year in some random box and Alex has fallen in love with Clarice!  She goes everywhere with us.

Given her level of excitement and understanding of the season, we decided this was the year to write our first official letter to Santa.  She dictated the letter and then drew a picture at the bottom. She made sure to tell Santa that she tries to be a good friend and a good listener.  Tomorrow we will be taking the letter to Macy's Department Store to mail to Santa in their special Santa Mail Box.  They will donate $1 for every letter, up to $1 million.  And make sure each letter gets to Santa at the North Pole in time for Christmas.
