Alex's 3rd Birthday Party

Today was Alex's 3rd birthday party with her friends.  This year we decided to have her party at one of our favorite indoor play areas, Little Monkey Bizness.  This year I asked Alex who she wanted to invite and she gave me a pretty nice list of the kids she plays with the most often.  Of course, her best friend Emily was at teh top of the list!

The kids were given an hour of playtime, where there was only one other party, so the total of kids was about 30, far lower than any other time we have ever gone here on a cold winter day!   Then we headed to the party room for cake and ice cream.  We ended with a round of the Hokey Pokey (brought me back to me teaching days, in a good way!)

We opened presents at home and Alex loved everything she got.   She was excited to open each gift, but also wanted to take the time to just stop and play with everything.  Now to write all her thank you notes!
