It is amazing to me how much Alex has changed in just 8 months. It seems just like yesterday we had this tiny little baby that pretty much just slept and ate, with a few periods of being awake. She loved to nap while being held and would just snuggle in. You could hold her for hours and we did! Today she is crawling around, playing with toys, laughing, walking with assistance, and content to play by herself for short periods of time. She loves to play with straws, watch the fish, she claps her hands in excitement, and gives you this wonderful smile when she sees you or you "find" her in one of her favorite cubby spaces. Part of me wants to just freeze time and keep her like this and part of me is so excited for all the next stages and the adventures we will get to take together as a family. We are getting things ready to decorate for fall, talking about our first trip to the pumpkin patch this fall, and how to celebrate her first birthday, and of course, working on compromises of my Christmas memories/traditions, and Steve's Christmas memories/traditions.
Enjoy a few pics of the little one...
Check out the purple shoes!!!
See, I can do it all by myself now!
No, this is my water bottle and I am not sharing with you daddy.
