Computer Time!

Was there every any doubt that Alex (and now baby #2) would be exposed to computers from early on?  We do try to keep her exposure limited and monitor what she is doing pretty carefully.  But she can easily navigate the iPad to find her games and books.  She is also a pro at finding her games on my iPhone too!

They have e-books for kids which is great because they tend to have the option to have the story read out loud.  Anyone else remember the read-a-loud books which had the bell when to turn the page?

But back on topic here...her latest interest has been in writing her name, mommy, daddy, Emily (her BFF) and Nicole (her BFF"s mom).  And she has just started to recognize other words like Cat and Cow.  Now she likes to type them, sitting on mommy's computer!  So I open up a Word document, make sure the cap locks is on (so the letters look more like the ones she is writing herself, though she does recognize most lower case letters in print) and away she goes.  She also likes to just "type".  I got a little video of her at work today to share.
