Three day weekends are so nice! The sun was shining and so we decided to head to the pool earlier in the day on the 4th of July. We had the pool to ourselves for almost an hour (not counting the couple sitting in the sun poolside). Alex had such a blast splashing in the little pool, then going and jumping in for daddy to catch her in the big pool. When she would get cold, she would head back to the little pool to warm up for a few minutes, then back to daddy. It was such a nice way to spend the morning.
Then we just had a quiet day at home, playing games, taking naps, grilling brats and hot dogs, and enjoying some of the juiciest watermelon we have had yet this season. Alex did not make it to fireworks, but Steve and I were able to sit on our front porch. It was quite the site, as we were able to see about 8 different sets of fireworks. And boy can Colorado do fireworks! The shows went on for almost an hour and were pretty much non stop!
