Busy Busy Busy

It is hard to believe we are almost to the end of October! A year ago we had just put our house on the market in WI and trying to start packing up all our stuff...and realizing how much we accumulate and how big our closets really were in that house!  And now, here we are, settled into our new house in CO and loving ever minute of our new life here.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, Alex loves to put on her tutu and dance.  Her favorite dancing music is anything by The Wiggles.  She was in a great dancing mode this week so we got a few pictures and some video of our little dancer.

Shh, shh, shh

We recently moved her toy shelf out of this alcove in our great room and she has decided it makes the best place for her to dance...a little stage that is just her size!

I have also started to introduce Alex to more sensory experiences as part of our continuing transition to having some more formal/directed activities. We have done water play and recently made playdough (the homemade stuff is so much better than the store bought stuff and we can add scents and glitter)  This time we made pumpkin spice orange playdough.  She is still not sure about getting her hands dirty, but she is at least willing to try things for a few minutes!  And sometimes even lets me capture the moments with the camera.

Okay Mom, this water stuff is fun!

Um...I am not so sure about this one

okay, what is this exactly?

okay, this might be okay

she still LOVES shoes...and it does not really matter if the shoes are her's, mommy's, or daddy's

She also loves to help in the kitchen!  Here she is helping make dinner (she had decided she was done with pants for the day!)
