The Grand Adventures of the Lil' Cheesers: Anderson Farms

Part of the excitement of fall/Halloween is a trip to the farm/pumpkin patch. Last year we enjoyed an afternoon at Eugster's Farm in Oregon WI (you can see the pictures from last year here.) This year we needed to find somewhere just as fun to explore and hopefully start a yearly tradition. At the suggestion of a friend, we headed out to enjoy a day at Anderson Farms complete with baby goats, a corn maze, a hay bale maze, a kiddie maze, pony rides, and trip to the pumpkin patch.

Here we are getting ready to go. She looks so grown up!

Mommy and Alex in the parking lot...it was a bit windy, but sunny and comfortable.

We stated out by visiting the animals, including baby goats who were about 2 weeks old.

Of course we needed some pictures with the big pumpkins..

Then it was off to explore the hay bale maze. While she had fun running through the maze...

....she really wanted to be like the big kids and run ON TOP of the hay bales! They had these little cubby holes in the hay bales that kids would jump down into, which Alex thought was great fun too!

We finally convinced her to leave the hay bales behind and head into the corn maze.

Alex is not one to follow anyone else's path...she goes her own way!

They also had this fun kiddie maze, perfect for running and chasing!

Then she noticed the train...and off we went to explore.

Then we headed off to what I think ended up being her favorite part of the whole day...the pony rides! We were not sure how she would react, if she would actually enjoy it or want off in the first 30 seconds. I think by the smiles you can see we made it through the whole ride.

Then we finally made our way to the wagon for the ride out to the pumpkin patch, with a stop to see if any bison, cows or steers wanted a snack.

And then we made it to the pumpkin patch where Alex had great fun running through the patch and exploring the pumpkins. She even helped daddy pick out her pumpkin.
