We made use of our season pass to the zoo today, going with good friends. The girls did wonderfully, full of smiles and giggles, and sharing of the goldfish crackers! It helped that we went on the early side, before it got hot and before all the animals decided to take a nap. We got to see them in action, which also made Alex laugh. The peacocks were out and in full display, wandering around the zoo. They did not seem to mind when people got up close and personal! Though Alex preferred to view them from a safe distance. We saw a nice display by one peacock for another while we were eating lunch, complete with a bum wiggle and vocalization!
Sometimes I truly wonder why we buy toys...we got these cubes for the cats at Target for $5.00 5 years ago, and yet they provide great entertainment for one little girl...and one suspicisous cat!
And here is a new picture of our little family, taken by friends, Saturday night with sun setting behind the mountains. It was a gorgeous night!
