Our First Family Get Away

This weekend we headed down to Chicago for a family get away. We stayed at a very nice Hyatt, complete with swimming pool. Our big adventure for the weekend was a trip to the Museum of Science and Industry to see the Harry Potter exhibit. It was so much fun!! The exhibit was amazing. There were so many wonderful costumes and parts of the set. Steve is amazing, he kept munchkin entertained while I wandered and took my time looking at every little detail. Alex was a perfect little munchkin, charming all she saw and giving out lots of smiles :)

After the Harry Potter exhibit we decided to wander around a bit and happened to find a Mirror Maze. Alex really enjoys watching herself in the mirror, so she thought this was just about the best place! Here she is watching the many sides of Alex:

We took Alex swimming each day we were gone. She was hesitant about the whole experience, but warmed up after a bit. As long as the pool area was calm and not too loud, she enjoyed floating in her little raft.

This week we visit again with Aunt Ele, get ready for a fun visit with my mom and nephew from Florida, and finish our suprise for daddy for Father's Day. It should be a quick week and hopefully I can everything I need/want to done. Keep your fingers crossed for good nap times this week!
