We ventured out today for our first trip to the Dane County Farmer's Market on the square today. While it was cooler/rainier than we may have liked, a good time was had by all. This is a staple of must do's on a Saturday morning in Madison during the spring/summer/fall. Lots of fresh produce, plants, etc all grown by area farmer's. Added to the many bakery stands selling everything from muffins, to cookies, to hot and spicey cheese bread and farm stands selling fresh squeaky cheese curds...the adventure is always fun. For those of you not familar with cheese curds, it really is the best way to each cheese! So, come visit and we will show the many ways to enjoy these tasty treats (fresh, squeaky, fried, etc)!

This weekend was also Cows on the Concourse, where area farmer's bring cows to the capital square for visitors to pet, meet, and learn more about cows and farming. This year we just stopped by to visit the cows, but look foward to partaking in some of the other activities in the years to come!
