Getting Bigger

Well, we are now starting to outgrow our 0-3 month outfits and moving into the 3-6 month size. While mommy and daddy are excited that Alex is growing, it is sad to see some of our favorite outfits for her go into storage.  But we are having fun buying her more cloths!   We are also excited and hopeful for warmer weather when we can avoid as many layers and just go out in our onsies.

Friday was an exciting day, as cousin Evie came to spend the day with us, as her regular sitter had a family emergency.  It was a fun day full of playtimes.  Alex even napped for 3 hours in her crib that day!  Grandma Polly came over to visit in the afternoon and got some big smiles from Alex and helped Evie to stand and dance (her favorite activity right now).  And Genny retained all her sanity taking care of both girls all day solo!

Today we had another big milestone...our first real laugh!  Not just a little giggle, but a real laugh at something mommy or daddy did with us/showed us.  It is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world!  One I know we will keep working to hear daily.

Yesterday we spent most of the day out and about. Alex was awake a good portion of the time, which was fun.  So we took her out of her carrier and let her look around.  She loves to look at lights and ceiling fans.  Not sure why we spend all the money we do on toys when turning on the ceiling fan can amuse her for 20 minutes.

We got a new activity for her to play with during tummy time....it has water in it and the pieces move around when you push on it. She found this to be most interesting and tolerated "official" tummy time for about 10 minutes.

It just amazes us how much she changes each day, all the new things she is learning, and how we grow to love her more every day, if that were even possible!
