Last night munchkin was mostly asleep when she was put down in her crib, leaving her to put herself the rest of the way to sleep..which she did with out tears or screams. Some playful babbling (and turning in her crib so she was kicking her mirror that hangs on the side of her crib!) later she was sound asleep. And slept for about 4 hours :)
Today mommy got a wonderful surprise when during play time Alex rolled from her back to her side and then back again! She did this many times, to both sides while she giggled and smiled. I was lucky enough to get this latest accomplishment on video for daddy to see tonight.
It amazes us how much she changes from day to day, hour to hour. Each day brings so many new experiences for all of us. We love each minute we get to spend with her.
The other big milestone was actually for mom and dad this weekend. Grandma Polly came over Saturday afternoon to watch Alex while we went to see a movie. It was the first time since she was born that Steve and I have gone out anywhere together without Alex. It felt a little odd, but it was nice to see a movie and have some time, just the two of us. Not sure how often we will actually do this, but every once in awhile it is nice.
This week the weather is supposed to be nice, warm, and we may even have a thunderstorm or two. It will be interesting to see how she reacts to a thunderstorm...I hope she learns to love them like mommy and daddy do :)
