Rocky Mountain Arsenal Hike

Steve's brother Rick and his friend Penny came to visit us for the weekend in July.  It was a short visit, but I think a good time was had by all.  I know Alex really enjoyed seeing her Uncle Rick and showing him and Penny all the things she can do (and they listen to all her stories!)

On Saturday we took them out to Rocky Mountain Arsenal for hike.  We had talked about going up in the mountains, but then decided to stay a little closer to home.  Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge is an urban wildlife refuge with over 15, 000 acres.  It was a hot day and with the two kids...the walk was maybe shorter than we had hoped/planned, but it seems that a good time was had by all...and mommy played some more with her new camera :)
