Elitch Gardens-Family Day!

Steve's company sponsored a family day at Elitch Gardens today.  Elitch Gardens is a little like Great America...but not as a big or as crazy and it is set right in Denver, near Mile High Stadium so the travel there is much quicker!  What an AMAZING DAY!  We had such a great time and learned that Alex is quite the thrill seeker!  She LOVED LOVED LOVED the roller coaster (kiddie sized), she had a blast on the tea cups, was thrilled with the ferris wheel, and had a blast on the Spider with daddy.  She also got her face painted at lunch.

Alex's first time SOLO on bumper cars...mostly they all went in circles bumping into one another, but they were all giggling and having fun so...that's all that matters!

Nicholas got to go on a few rides too!

Alex's first roller coaster!  (we rode it twice!)
Nicholas gave in and just conked out after lunch, despite all the noise :)
In line and SOO excited for the "Spider" Ride (often known as the Octopus ride)

Awake and entertained with mommy's sunglasses...but looking cute!

Ferris Wheel!  This one was HUGE and you could get a great view of Denver.

This was one of those "drop" rides...but kiddie style!

Tea cups :)  We rode these twice too.

Swings!  She was JUST under the height requirement to ride the big ones so we gave the kiddie ones a go.  She had a blast :)  But wants to do the big ones next time, LOL!

more on the spider (sorry these got a little out of order...)
 waving from the Ferris Wheel
She knew she wanted roses on her cheeks!

whew!  tomorrow will be a do nothing much kind of day!
