Happy Easter!

After a weekend of snow last week, where we got about 8 inches of snow...we really did not know what to expect for this weekend.  But it was warm, sunny, and very spring like!

We started out the Easter celebrations with an Easter Egg Hunt with our mom's group.  Nicholas was sleeping when it was time to leave, so he stayed home with daddy. Which probably worked out for the best since it was another beautiful day and Alex had so much fun playing on the playground with her friends!  And he had more fun at home getting into mischief with daddy.

We had fun decorating eggs this year too...Alex really got into it!  She wanted to do more eggs...but I didn't want to make more than I thought we could possibly eat in the next couple of days.

Then this morning started out following the clues left behind by E.B. (Easter Bunny) to find out Easter Baskets.  It took Alex a little bit to get into the groove of the hunt, but she once she woke up a bit she started to getting into the hunt.  She was so excited to find her treasures at the end!!

 

 Then off to breakfast...where Nicholas got his first taste of egg.  He was not impressed..but Alex ate two hard boiled eggs!

Alex thought Nicholas needed a little help getting to the kitchen table...

 

Then the time was at hand to go find the eggs left in the backyard by E.B.  He even left a little pile of jelly beans, which if you have seen the movie HOP you know is Easter Bunny poop. Alex thought it was very funny to find Easter Bunny poop!  She also declared this the BEST EASTER EVER!

And since today was such a beautiful day, we had to play outside!!  A bike ride, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and a little silly string later...smiles were all around!
