After weeks of telling us she wanted to be Cinderella, when it came time to go pick out her costume, she found an Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) costume and that was it, she was Aurora! (Complete with a song she made up all on her own). Alex also helped pick out Nicholas's costume...appropriately he was a little dragon.
We started the festivities with Trick-or-Treating at Daddy's office. Lots of fun, lots of candy, and one really cool "haunted" tunnel that Alex enjoyed many times!
| I think she just wanted to get going... |
| Seriously...Steve's company went ALL out to make this a fun family event |
| Trick or treating at the CEO's office. He even came out and talked to her. |
Then it was time to decorate pumpkins. She helped Daddy carve two of our pumpkins.
| She at least put her hand IN the pumpkin this year...though mommy ended up gutting her pumpkin. |
| Nicholas supervised... |
We decorated two pumpkins with jewels.
And we made pumpkin jars.
We enjoyed a fun Halloween party with our friends today.
| Alex and her best bud Miriam, decorating cookies. Black frosting was a big hit with the kiddos... |
| Nicholas ignored the cookies and just went with charming the moms! Here is with our friend Sheila. |
Then we had to go trick or treating! Alex really understands it now and was very excited to go out and show off her costume and get candy. We took Nicholas for a few houses then he and mommy headed home to hand out candy. Alex and Daddy made the rounds but were home earlier than I had expected. Alex decided that trick-or-treating was fun...but handing out candy was even more fun!
| Nicholas would rather look at Alex...Alex just wanted to get this trick or treating party started! |
Waiting for the "candy kids" so she could give them their treats. She did a GREAT job!
Happy Halloween! |
