The Pictures Don't Lie..

or in this case, the ultrasound was pretty clear...this little baby is a BOY!!!

While Alex was pretty sure it was going to be a baby sister, she is warming up to the idea of a baby brother.  In all actuality, I think she is still pretty unsure about what this all means for her anyways.  But she does like it when she can feel him kick and move around!  She has gotten to feel him wiggle and roll and kick even more than daddy at this point.

The 20 week ultrasound is pretty inclusive as they look at all kinds of things like the heart, the head, the brain, the lungs, etc.  At this point everything looks great, he looks healthy and active.  And BIG.  We have a pretty concrete due date (which has just been changed to 7/2/2012) based on the last two ultrasounds, but this little guy is actually measuring about 10 or so days BIGGER, so we are going to keep an eye on him.  He may make his arrival a little earlier than we expect.  

He was pretty active during the ultrasound yesterday, but we did get some nice pictures.  Once Steve has a few moments to scan them in, we will post a few for you to see.  He was even giving us a "thumbs up"!

So, now it is time to finally sort through/give away/donate all those clothes of Alex's that just won't work for a little boy...and go SHOPPING for boy clothes.  Which I will admit, is not quite as exciting as girl clothes, but I have also learned we don't need anywhere NEAR as much as we had for her.  See...we did learn a few things the first time around.  We are also going to look at a new stroller and car seat...probably something with a little less purple and pink.

And before you start asking...yes we are working on a name.  No we won't be sharing it until he arrives, so you will just have to wait and make your own guesses.
