Today we took advantage of the beautiful weather to take a drive. We headed up through Boulder, towards Estes Park (where Stephen King's "The Shining" is set and even drove by the Stanley Hotel). We then headed into Rocky Mountain National Park.
What an AMAZING drive! The weather was perfect for a drive and to get out and admire the amazing views. Words truly can not express how beautiful the sites were with the fall leaves turning colors. There are so many places to stop and get pictures, as well as many different trails to walk. We stopped at about 11500 feet and walked up the trail. Alex LOVED running up the mountain, and chasing mom and dad down the mountain. Below you will find some pictures of the views we admired and Alex exploring the mountains.
