4th of July Fun!

All smiles as she pulls out every toy from the box!

We had a busy 4th of July weekend, filled with fun, games, food, and family. Alex has gotten to the stage of being uneasy with new people/people who are not mom and dad, so while she would not snuggle with everyone, she would happily play/smile/laugh with everyone, as long as one of us was close by.

Steve's brother Rick arrived last week for a few days visit on his way back to Oregon. He had not seen Alex since she was about 3 months old and was amazed at how much she had grown :) Here is she is playing in her bouncer with Uncle Rick.

Friday brought the arrival of the Colby-George's from Main. Cousins Noah and Gabby were so excited to meet Alex and have spent many hours building towers for her to knock down, making funny faces, and doing other silly things to make her giggle. Here is a picture of her with Uncle Bear (Binks). I have other pictures to post with family, as soon as I can get the picture loaded off the camera.

We celebrated the 4th of July with a big family cook out at our house. It was crazy, fun, and boy did we eat! I love hot dogs off the grill! We all headed to the park to watch the boys (Steve, Rick, Binks, and Noah) play frisbee while Alex, Gabby, and I took a turn on the swings. Uncle Rick had brought a few fireworks for the kids, so we set those off early evening and then the Colby-George's left for fireworks. Alex is just not ready for those yet...and the mosquitoes would have carried her away!!!!

Since it is so rare to have all three boys in one place and it was the first time all 3 Colby grandkids were together, we made sure to get a few pics.
