Well, summer is finally over and fall is in the air. Today is a bit rainy and cool, but perfect for snuggling in with a good book or a movie (both of which we have done already today).
We also put up the indoor Halloween decorations. Too rainy to put things outside today. It is always fun to dress the house. And so many of the Halloween decorations can make it for Thanksgiving. Then the real fun begins as we get the house ready for Christmas. Though this year we may take it down a notch, depending on when Trogdor decides to make her appearance!
We start our birthing classes this week. It is exciting, but also a bit scary, as it this means we are in the final stretch. We are in "count down" mode now, as we hit the 30 week mark. At times it feels we are really ready and at times it is "oh my, what are we getting ourselves into?" The cats are getting used to the changes around the house, though we have found one Bamboo napping in the crib a few times, so we will have to continue to train her that this is NOT her new nap spot.
Last weekend we finally got a video camera (we promise no birth videos will be made or passed on!). We have practiced a bit with the kitties and just started a video file of our niece Evie. It is actually a pretty nice little camera. I am sure there are lots of things that it can do that I will never figure out, but will offer Steve lots of things to play with as he shots the videos.
Steve spent yesterday having at a "LAN" party. For the rest of us, that means he and a bunch of guys all got together at one of his co-worker's homes and set them all up so they could play games together. He had a great time! I am so glad he has other guys to play these games with, because after about 2 hours, my mind is toast on these and I am done :) One of his co-worker's has a 10 year son who loves to play with the guys and generally kicks butt!
I am going to TRY to put up some new photos soon. I may have to wait for Steve to show me where he has saved our newest pictures though.
Hope all is well with everyone!
Genny and Steve
