A Little Christmas Cheer

...at least before puke-a-pollooza part 2 started!  Once Nicholas started, the cameras pretty much got forgotten, but despite all the laundry, clothing changes, and soothing the sick baby, we did have a nice quiet holiday.

Alex LOVED the doll house and princess ballerina dolls that Santa brought her.  She played happily for most of the morning with just these new toys.  And honestly, it is a pretty sweet doll house!

 

 

Santa brought Nicholas more play sets for his favorite V-tech Go-Go smart cars. And before the puking started...he did enjoy playing with his new toys...though why he is using his feet is still beyond me!

After a light breakfast, we started to unwrap presents.  Alex started with great gusto, then wanted to stop and play with her new toys, so we took it a very leisurely pace.  It was, actually, quite nice.  Nicholas was much less interested and after opening 2 or 3, let Alex and mommy do the rest of his.  He was much happier to play with the toys the next day, once they were all opened and he felt better.  This was how Nicholas preferred to spend the day...

So, it may not have been the Christmas mom and dad planned, but we were together.  We had a quiet day, moved at our own pace, played with toys, watched movies, and did lots of snuggling.  Take out the puke and the 12 loads of laundry that went with it...and it was a pretty nice Christmas!
