Things continue to be crazy here. We have been reading a really great book series, Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer and attended the midnight release party with Genny's best friend Tammy and her dad Friday night. We really didn't think we would ever be so excited about a book after Harry Potter to be crazy enough to go to a midnight release, but this series is wonderful. Tammy had been telling Genny to read it for a while, but since it is about a teenage girl in love with a vampire, given Genny's love of Buffy of the Vampire Slayer, and all things Joss Whedon, she was a bit hesitant to try out someone else's version of vampire lore. But she picked up the books over our vacation, since Tammy was so excited about them, and them could not put them down! A new obsession was created, one that she brought Steve along into as well, though he is not quite as obsessed as Genny!
It was great fun and we have then spent the day reading, finding out what happens to our favorite characters.
