Birthday Party Fun!

Today was the day...Alex's 8th birthday party!!  We have been counting down since the 1st.    We gathered her friends, old and new, and celebrated our amazing girl.  This year we decided to do a painting party...with Gallery on the Go (think of any those "paint and sip" type places, but they come to your house, bring all the supplies, and walk you through painting).

Alex's theme was SNOWFLAKES so she of coursed picked a snow flake picture to paint.   Some of the girls decided to go their own direction, some followed the instructor for a bit than diverted, and some followed through to the end.  It was so neat to see all the different ideas.  And in the end, they all had fun, which was what we were going for!

Then we had a little pinata fun!

They played pin the carrot on the snowman, musical chairs, and a charades type game.  Then pizza and cakes...which the kids decorated themselves.

Thanks to all our friends who came to help us celebrate our Monkey!  Now on to the birthday week...with daddy on vacation, one more day of our enrichment program, a Girl Scouts meeting with a holiday party..and then Friday is the big day!!  And Saturday we will be off to see Rogue One :)    Hopefully I can post more pics for you all of her birthday fun.
