End of School Year Fun

One of the benefits of Alex's Homeschool Enrichment program (Options) is she gets to experience some of those "school" experiences that her friends get at a traditional school. Friday was Field Day/School Carnival Day.  Which due to the excessive amounts of rain...was moved indoors.  The kids really didn't care, they had a blast!  It was just crowded and loud, but full of happy sounds.  Alex was not really enthused with the "field" day aspect so we got there late and she only did 2 events (they grouped the kids by grade then had them rotate through the stations, all set up in different classrooms).  The three legged race was fun to watch with the K/1 group!

The carnival aspect included bounce houses, a velcro wall, a photo booth, snacks, and just a lot of running around with friends.  I didn't get a ton of pictures or video...but here is a peak...

Alex and Nicholas waiting to go into the Bounce House Maze

Coming down the slide at the end...love how he waits for his sister!  She followed him in case he had trouble with the climbing parts, but I am told he needed NO help from anyone!

Alex doing the Velcro Wall!!!

Then the kids and I went to Chick Fil A for lunch...as since it was cold and rainy they both decided to turn in their kids meal prize for ice cream!
